What is sedation dentistry?

Is nitrous oxide safe?
Yes. Nitrous oxide is a safe, fast-acting sedative that’s inhaled through a mask and monitored closely by your dental team.
Will I be asleep during sedation?
With nitrous oxide and oral sedation, you’ll remain awake but relaxed; deeper sedation options may make you drowsy or lightly asleep.
How quickly does nitrous oxide wear off?
Its effects fade within minutes after the mask is removed, allowing you to resume normal activities right away.
